This title is the beginning of a series of works that encompass the wind, earth, fire and water nature and its fprces we know of. The wire piece is just the sketching in minute for what is intended to be a musical piece, the work will be made of large diameter tubing and mounted in the shapes of the sketch, each one chanelling the wind to blow through and produce a sound - the whole thing swivelling in the wind. There are further sketches of water which in the diagram would be like a flat pool with every few minutes a drop falling into it producing the effect the poem next to it refers to. This theme continues on with fire, as sketch shows a sort of fountain effect using fire and then wind being a wind tunnel that you step into and feel the blast. Finance dictates the completion of all these large interpretations, but the smaller versions are I hope not far off. There is also the four panel screen which is intended as well, encompassing all four subjects. |
